Memorial Day Week

Well the holiday week is coming to an end with things slowing down a bit with orders. The beginning of week was good with a few big orders but as the week went on things died down. That is okay though still plugging along just added another 150 new designs so please check the website and see what you think.

Changes at work has brought me back to programming for stencils online so i-stencils is taking a back seat, not in a bad way just part time for a while until I have a bit more time, which I’m trying to make at night and on the weekends....

I will continue to program new designs and update the blog with all of my extra time...or lack thereof. I hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend and has a wonderful weekend; I will be back early next week with more updates and info.

Slowing Down...:(

This is not the best Monday for orders and things have slowed down a bit, I'm not complaining just a bit disappointed after having a pretty good last couple of weeks. We were off to a great start last week and this week not so much, not sure what happened but that’s okay.


I understand that there are ups and downs and this economy probably more than ever, so I will just have to keep plugging away on advertising and putting up new designs on the website and hopefully things will continue to pick up and it will continue to get busy over the summer and in the future.

I have to stay positive and look at it as a challenge and keep working at it! I guess I should look at the flip side and be grateful that we have work period as there are so many people that don't, this country is in such a bad position and only hope that we can get back on top and get things moving in the right direction again.

So be sure to keep checking the website for updated images and specials, we are comming up with new ways to save you money and get you the very best stenciling products around.

Just popping' in to say hello and let you guys know that things are starting to pick up here at i-stencils, not as much as I would like to see but not bad for only being up for a short time. I hope that this is a sign of good things to come for the summer, only time will tell.


I am excited though it is nice to come to work in the morning and see new orders in my inbox it shows that all this hard work is starting to pay off a bit. I wish I could figure out new ways to promote this blog and the site though I mean I think I'm on the right track but it seems that I'm missing something but not sure what, any ideas?

Maybe I will change the layout to freshen things up so you guys won’t get board looking at the same things over and over, but since I don’t have that many visitors yet that may not make a difference...lol, maybe I'll do it for my own sake, so I can at least look at something different we will see how motivated I am to do that today.

Why choose mylar?

The three things you want to consider when choosing a stencil material are:

How strong is it?

How easily can it be cleaned?

Will it achieve crisp stenciling results?

Polyester is quite strong. It has the ability to be rolled very tightly and it will always bounce back to its flat shape. If you take a square sheet of polyester, even the thinnest 5 mil, you will not be able to tear it using your hands. The secret to a long stencil life is the ability to clean paint or ink off your stencil. Polyester is one of the very few plastic materials that is solvent proof. You can clean your stencil with paint remover, acetone (fingernail polish remover), turpentine/mineral spirits, or anything recommended to clean paint, and you won't damage the stencil material in any way. All material in the polyester family is flexible. This is very important when you are stenciling because it can conform to curved surfaces as well as the subtle variations on flat services. This will provide a more crisp and professional look than you can achieve using a rigid stencil material.

Feeling good about the new website, things are starting to pick up a bit which is good. I hope it is due to the blogging the pinging and forum posts (but I doubt it) Im sure it is the ad click and being in the top Google searches.

So it does not look like I take all the credit for driving business to the site, even though I would like too (maybe I will) and just wont tell any body else, what do you think? I just don't want to hurt my arm patting my self on the back, but if I don’t who will...lol

I hope that the small amount of people that are reading these blogs are enjoying them and maybe getting some useful information and will eventually start buying stencils so they decorate their lives.

With summer coming I hope that it will only get busier with all the outdoor events there should be a high demand for face painting stencils and temporary tattoos (which we have plenty) So all you artists keep that in mind when you need new and fresh designs for you summer businesses and remember the more you order the better rate you get so it's win, win!

Happy Monday, it was a good weekend we had a few orders come in for i-stencils. I think things are starting to happen, I’m not sure if it the blogs, the pinging or what but we are not complaining at all, thank you to all of you that have added us a friends or are starting to follow the blog posts.

I hope that I can keep the info fresh and new so that you will always have something new to read and hopefully reply to, don’t forget to leave a comment for us if you stop by so that I know how I am doing. Shoot me an email if you have specific questions about a product or how something is done.
